This urban cabin in Sydney's inner suburb of St Peters is a project that is very close to our hearts - it's our own design! Inspired by the property's existing tropical gardens and the industrial past of the local area, the owners have designed the space combining a mixture of mid-century modern, industrial and Scandi styles.

The urban cabin is a two-story house with a spacious ground floor. The ground floor has a versatile open-plan layout, which includes a custom-made wooden kitchen that has a movable island bench doubling as a dining table. The living area has built-in wooden shelves and a wall with French doors that can be folded and open up to the beautiful front garden with tropical plants. The most prominent feature of the house is its high ceiling, which creates a sense of space. The skylights, along with the front bi-fold doors and the industrial glass doors at the back, allow plenty of natural light to enter the entire home and provide great ventilation.
